My Salmon confession
« on: March 29, 2012, 08:29:19 PM »
Just received my WDFW reminder to return my punch card. I moved from the Olympic Peninsula to Colville in July so I did not fish for salmon this year. So, I pulled out my punch card to see what I had on it. Ouch!!!!! One spinger for the year. This will be my first year in 33 that I am not sending in a full, second, or nearly full card.

I am sorry for my sins, please forgive me my fishing friends.

But if it had been a grouse punchcard, I'm betting you would've filled 2 or 3!

So that may make up for your lack of fish, somewhat.

Same here, Ever since I moved from Port Angeles, its fewer and fewer. But the good thing is you can fish all year and no gill nets. My only salmon trips anymore are during elk muzzy season on the OP. I just cant fish for them over on the east side. I like them with sea lice.

Ever since having kids I've pretty much given up on salmon fishing, and just concentrate on hunting or steelhead.  But springers sure would be nice on the punch card!
