You guys really got into a pissing match with that second bull. I liked how you kept "stepping" on his bugle and cutting him off. Can you talk about that a little, is that soething that you typically do in a situation like that?

hey ...you guys have my vote... to go out in this brush hole we live in and get some good video like that your doing something .....I just like it real ... the way in actually goes down is it .... nothen better than the excitement of knees knocking - arrow clanking and heavy breathing  ... something about finding those old grades ...even for blacktail it usually means death for something  :dunno: i thought for sure on that 1st bull that arrow was getting buried dead center in his chest ...thats where I was looking when the bow went off.... and yeah you might want to get one of those silent killers A MATHEWS .... :chuckle: :chuckle: :chuckle: :chuckle: :chuckle: :tung:

AKBowman - I will make a new post or I can send you a PM.  It is a good discussion and I use the same tactics quite often.

BH45-  We just try to capture what we do out in the woods as REAL as we can.  Could you tell I yanked the arrow off the rest when I drew?  Let me tell you that Slick Trick was scary sharp and I sliced and diced my finger.  We did edit that out because when I turned around I had blood dripping from my finger and my nose (got a bloody nose when I was calling him in).

The most important thing is I had a blast on this hunt.  I cut my teeth on hunting these bulls in the thick stuff.  They may not have the biggest horns but the hunt more than makes up for that.

The bull was quartering a little so I choose a spot just to the left.  When I was visualizing the vitals that's where I wanted to go.

As far as that Bowtech it is so fast it doesn't even matter that it is whisper quiet.

I have never been a horn hunter.... I like eating elk ... i shot my share of smaller bulls and now I have my wall hanger I will kill smaller bulls and nice big fat cows  :chuckle:  anyone would get nervous when an animal is off the tip of your arrow ...thats why we love bow hunting ...being able to get close ...that takes skill and knowledge of the woods ....NICE VIDEO .... Plus I need a couple of your calls before September

It will be a long while before I ever get rid of the Guardian :bdid:

I think the real conversation should be if everyone is interested in getting a pot of money going so we can buy Tyson 40-50 lb limbs for his Martin or a gym membership?  That was the funniest thing ever, watching him try to get his bow drawn.  :chuckle:  :chuckle: :chuckle:  :chuckle: :chuckle:

Awesome video, clarity, quality and subject.... but am I the only one who's a little squeamish about showing a frontal shot?
Could start a major discussion over frontal shots... and some people swear by them... but showing in a video might encourage those with less experience.

Old enough to know better.
Young enough to go for it.
