Special hunt in Mashel
« on: July 30, 2008, 10:02:04 PM »
Been a while since I have been on here, been busy with classes since I decided to go back to school again.  My dad and I got drawn for a special deer hunt in the Mashel unit.  We have never hunted this unit so I am hoping to get a little help.  I think he put the wrong number down on accident.  I am not asking for anyones special places but entry points and some general info would be much appreciated.  I plan to get out a couple times to scout and see if I can stumble upon a bear or cougar.  Hate to waste the special hunt so any help would be great.  On a side note I just found out today that I might have an opportunity to do a bear hunt in Alaska at the end of August.  Any one ever had coastal black bear?  Curious how it would taste.  Thanks
