Springers are showing in the Cowlitz!
« on: April 05, 2012, 06:23:04 PM »
Close to a hundred at the seperator this week. Compared to about 4 or 5 total this year prior to that.

Might have a case of springer fever next week and miss some work.

I have seen some caught in the last week above the toutle. I am getting the urge to feed a springer a Cowlitz Cocktail as well.

The big C is red hot right now. Still way early for cowlitz.

I saw one last weekend caught.  Yesterday was a zoo, not worth the drama way to many boats.

Springer fever set in today.Ended up getting a chrome bright beauty on our first pass. Missed another on the second. Then the water started coming up. Arghhh.... Tried a few other spots and nothing.Decided to freedrift for steel.Ended up getting 3 nice late winters. So A springer and 3 winters in the boat and a springer and 2 steelhead lost.

I love taking time off work for days like this.

Agreed the Cowlitz has no fish, there's no point in going.  :chuckle:
Some animals WERE harmed in the making of this Hunter. They were also dragged through the dirt, butchered and tasted delicious fried with butter and bacon.
