A few deer and a landscape shot
« on: April 16, 2012, 12:26:45 PM »
While out scouting last weekend, I saw these 3.  They were about 600 yards out.  Used a 400MM Canon L.  Not a great pic because it was hand-held.

You nailed it.  I'm looking for coyotes combined for future pheasant and quail (hopefully deer too).

Cool.  Well, let me ask you, Vandeman17 - am I looking in the right areas for coyote, upland game, and deer? (without giving away any secrets).

Thanks a lot,
Carl

You can't go wrong anywhere in the area. My suggestion would be to out towards quincy up up towards Orondo and Waterville and knock on some doors for yotes. Upland is good all over. I see at least 20 quail a day on my way to and from work and there are some good spots for them out towards Quincy with plenty of pub land. For deer, that is one where it would depend on your weapon of choice.

These are also near Wenatchee. We took these last week. Also off hand, and need more lens.

Good one!

You can crop your pic to bring the subject closer - until it gets too grainy.  But, you probably know that  ;)

I use Lightroom and like it very much.
