If you think you can buy a world class sheep tag for $3000 you are on seriously delusional. Those tags would have gone for $10K easy if it were open for auction.

Seriously I think what takes away from the sheep hunts, for me, is that they are not native. They were transplanted here from somewhere else. Yes, I know sheep were native in this state to originally but then they went extinct. So to me it's almost like hunting a game farm where animals are just put there to be hunted. It's just not as "real" as it should be. Not like an Alaskan sheep hunt or something like that.
