Group camp for cub scouts

I need to find a good group campsite on the wet side. I have done a lot of camping but not with big groups or with the cub scouts. They have lots of rules such as must be within 30 min of emergency response. Anyone go through this tedious process of narrowing down a good spot? 

Even if you don't know the rules of BSA please suggest a good group camp and I can see if it meets the criteria.

Fire Mountain scout camp.  You can make reservations to use it.  They also have fishing.

Just over the wet side in Leavenworth is the 8mile Campground, good group site there.

There is a BSA campground in Clark County in SW Washington..  it is along the Lewis river.. pretty good camping spot if I remember right.

We used to take our scouts to Joe Emma state park on the Key Penn.

Not used very much so we always had plenty of camping spots with out reservations.

Many state parks have group camping areas that can be reserved.
The BSA camps can be reserved and used most of the year.

Another good areas was the Ape Caves.

Thanks all these are some good ideas.  I am in Mason County, the troop has a low budget, and I think getting them (the parents) to walk in even a short distance will be a chore

you could head up to fort flagler.  I've been camping up there and I liked it.

How about Porter Creek CG in Capital Forest.

I used to camp there durring hunting season. Its free and first come gets the spot.

Sorry, but I can't help you there.  I have no experience in the capitol forest other than the shooting pit.  How far are you willing to drive?

Probably too far for you guys, but if you are interested I live very close to the E Fork Lewis. I could do some ground work for ya....

We are planning a Fri thru Sun camp so we would like to stay as local as possible.  I am looking into a 10min walk in on the S. Fork Skokomish but I will have to convince the parents to leave all the big heavy stuff at home.

That is very nice of you to offer.  I am having one of the other parents ask about camping on private property.  One of the parents thinks there might be a liability issue.  I do not remember all these rules and hoops to jump through when I was in the scouts   I want to take the kids fishing, but I will have to take a course before bsa will even let us camp near water.  It is pretty rediculous.  Tons of restrictions AND each kid has to be with a guardian.  It seems to me that if every kid is with a guardian their parents should be able to watch their kid and help them make good choices

What about the PAC Forest in Eatonville. I know some scout troops use that for their night time hikes.
