Dont let your kids help Season your cast iron
« on: October 02, 2018, 06:38:46 PM »
I thought all of you would get a laugh out of this....so I'm re-seasoning a cast iron pan and as I'm getting ready to add the oil and my kid ask me if he needs to grab the Johnny's....I look at him thinking wth and ask him why and he says well your seasoning the pan right? Don't you need Johnny's ? I about lost it  :chuckle: his thinking is it will add flavor to the food that's cooked in it  :lol4: he takes after his mother and this is why i cook  :lol4:

reminds me of the time I asked my husband to get me meat tenderizer (for a wasp sting) and he came home with the mallet-shaped tenderizer tool.

Maybe he had a better way for you to not notice the sting?   :sry:   :chuckle:

Seasoning Cast Iron happens each time you cook in it.....just watch what those kids are up to (you never know what might end up in the Stew).  :chuckle:
