I agree it should be where johnQ can see it. Are agency has been fight with the anti's over aerial predator control for a long time. Its one of the most successful ways to keep coyote numbers down on big ranches. We have averaged over 100yotes a day at some places :o but it does cut down on the ranchers loss during the year which help keep meat prices down. :twocents:

All over the country there are ADC control hunts, not just for coyotes, lots of deer are culled or controlled. Lots shot at night in city limits with silenced or surpressed rifles. There is a company that makes special rifles for this use. Recently there was a large green belt area in a large eastern city near New York. they had about 100 times the amount of deer that the area could support. They put in a bunch of real high tree stands so they could shoot down at the ground, killed over 250 deer in two nights.
this is not sport hunting and is not only allowed by the Govt. it is promoted.

I have a teaching buddy in Alaska that does work like this for the Feds. You would be amazed what is done for wildlife control.
The Russians back in the 1800s planted lots of the outlying islands with different fox species, red, silver. These islands are also breeding rounds for geese, ducks etc. so the feds brought in Chuck, his wife and several other professionals. They trapped and killed fox on these islands for three months before leaving each island they set and left over 1000 traps to nail any fox they missed.
Downtown Anchorage has a big pigeon problem, so again Chuck and a small team were brought in with 1200 fps air rifles and silenced 22s to shoot them, bag them and be out out the roosting areas before anyone woke up(this was done in the month of March back in 1990s).  Anchorage PD would steer any foot traffic away from these control areas so the bunny and tree huggers wouldn't get alerted.
