I just received my first OLT Custom Knife.
« on: May 04, 2012, 09:08:03 PM »
I was looking for a custom knife that was a quality knife but not a safe queen. One I wouldn't be afraid to abuse and was priced fairly. I decided to try 154CM stainless for the first time with this knife. 154CM is like 440-C on steroids. Delivery time was excellent, around three weeks from the time I placed the order. Some of my custom knives, I have waited 3 1/2 years for.

OLT
GP-8 Drop Point
154CM
Polished Maroon Micarta
Silver Pins
Black Liners

I grabbed a selection of customs out of the safe, the knives bellow range from $500.00 to $150.00 each. The OLT GP-8 only ran me 150.00 delivered. A great combo of price & craftsmanship, one can order it in any combination they wish.

Very Nice. So what makes a knife a $500 knife and another a $150? Is it the steel or the type of material used on the handle or both?

Most of it is the guy pounding it together.  ;) Along with the combination of components. No different than the custom rifle game.
