Lake WA Bass??
« on: May 10, 2012, 12:35:08 PM »
Anyone been out fishing lately with all this nice weather? Wondering if the bass are more active yet or still deep and in winter mode? I'm gonna head out this evening to see if i can catch anything.

They are starting to move around but not much yet. I have caught a few smallmouth in the 6-10' deep range on lake union the past 2 weeks but they are still few and far between. Havent been since last friday so who knows. Any day now they will be getting after it. If you are looking for smallmouths I would still target rock piles in 15'-20' deep. As for Largemouth, I havent really figured them out on WA yet. Good luck, looking foreward to a report.

Thanks. I'll be cruising the Kirkland waterfront for large mouth this evening. I haven't been able to figure them out either. I'm hoping tonight will give me a better idea on depth and movement.

you should have no problem finding both largemouth and smallies up tight and shallow right now.. right now is a great time to get out there before the NWB tourny on this saturday. good luck!

I have crushed big smallies this week, next, and the week after in previous years. White or chrome/black jerkbaits worked hard along with the drop shot. 8-12' deep.

Look for canals south of i-90 ;) that's all I'm gonna say about that.

Never had luck with the largies.

:yeah: that is funny stuff right there... don't get me wrong.... great advice and would be funnier to sting as many fish there as possible before the wall to wall boats are lining the banks on sat fishing it..... lol. of course not funny to the ones fishing it on sat  :yike: LOL
