I put prefer, but because my shotties are old or not rated for steel I use lead even though it is poisonous.  But I only use those guns a few times a season.  I'll go to a newer gun and use steel for the rest.

The word "prefer " is a little misleading.

I went all Non-Toxic because it is simpler.  I don't have to worry about that one left over lead round from when I was <????>, last time I was out.

Lead for clays and steel for everything else (Except Turkey I went with bizmith  :chuckle:).

Eff steel shot!
steel shot is a big fat jerk!
at ten dollars a box it really cuts into my beer money.
it only wounds birds that I shoot at, especially when they are 50 +yards out.
I broke my last  toof on a steel pellet.
the only people who would voluntarily hunt with steel are pansy ass tree hugging fern petting hippy types that still like to go out and kill things... the dirty SOB's.
its just not as good as lead shot, kinda like my cat is not as good as my dog.
if you think steel is better than lead, you will make little baby jesus cry.
sprinkling poisonous metals  like lead all around helps exercise more of my american rights, can't do that with steel can you?

too soon? :dunno: :chuckle:

I like you stilly bay. Our differences with shot preference aside, this was the best reply I've read all day.

The poll had me concerned yesterday.  For a while it was close to 50%.  Now its gotten closer to where I figured the results would be.

Good one Stilly
