3.5 Days of bear hunting on the quinault indian reservation over bait.Hunt using a bow, rifle or a pistol. We can set up a hunt anyway you want. The guide fee is 1200.00 for 3.5 days and the tags cost 250 each, you can shot as many bear as you like in those 3.5 days. Lots to see and experience on the reservation where hunting to non-indians is untill now,and for bear hunting only.If you are interested in hunting bear shot me an email and see if we can set something up!!This is may first year as a guide but dont let that stop you.I have hunted since i was 10 years old and have lots of experience.I also have a fishing guide bussiness so i am outdoors alot. You will have a great time and if youd like to call a few of my fishing clients as references id be happy to give you a few numbers. There are 2 bear seasons. The 1st starts march 1st till june 15th.The second one has already started aug 1st and runs till nov 31.
I would be willing to trade some hunts for a newer 4x4 atv.camo in color.I have a KX 250 if some one would like that in a trade also. You can reach me at (360)288 2661
Happy hunting

They can shoot as many bear at they like on a rez? Or, I should say, they can allow someone to shoot as many bear as they like on a rez?

I thought there would be SOME sort of limit. :dunno:

They are having the same trouble as Capital Forest with all the damage the bears are causing.

The fellow says he can set up a hunt anyway you like, but the Quinault website specifically says only bait hunting.. I would have nothing to do with buying a hunt from them. There are places just as good if not better.

Prepare to pound away.

I dont get it, they charge 250 for each tag. what is the difference between that and the ads for  "no kill no fee"?? Dang few folks hunt bear at all here, on the Quinault reservation there is always more tags than people buy. I never went there to hunt, I know some folks who have. The description sounded real lame to me, but then when it was legal, I found bait hunting extremely boring and I will never try it again, and I almost felt guilty, shooting the one bear I did, over bait, when it was legal. The tribe used to have a limit of 50 tags but I have no idea now.

A guy who I know tried it on the res. He gets a call in Olympia, "a bear is hitting the bait, come on up" he goes, follows the "guide" to a spot, guide says "park here" guide drives up the road throws some bait in a barrel, comes back, tells "hunter" sit here, hunter sits, 20 minutes later a mini bear 200-250 lbs. comes in. "guide says shoot" guy shoots, dead bear. Loads it in "hunters" truck says see ya later.

is this different that "high fence hunting" or no kill no pay? or is it cause indians are doing it.??? If you want to pare it down to personal opinion, In MY opinion hunting by baiting is a LOT of work, but it aint hunting.
So splain to me, why are you mad?

Supposedly (I heard this last weekend) that a state record bear was killed on the rez this spring. It is pending certification. Some guy named Chuck Tayler from Montana I believe traded some elk hunts for some bear hunts and killed a whopper.  :dunno:

If any of you decide to do this , be prepared to gut and pack  your own bear and also the "guide" will drink all the wiskey and beer you have. I had some clients do this hunt last year. Saw alot of bears. One killed a 300 and the other 2 were dinks but they werent being picky. Seen alot of bears running across the roads on the way in.

they are hunting over bait! it should be illegal for them also. it also says that "you can shoot as many bears as you like". they should have a limit!

You may not camp on the rez either. Pretty raw deal.
