This bear was also taken in WY last year by a guide who just graduated from Royal Tine Guide School.  They saw this bear from a few miles away and it took 2 hours to ride close enough for a shot.  7 foot 7 inches and they estimated it weighed 600 pounds.

Dam near looks like a grizz machias with how big he is and his color phase, awesome looking blacky.
Both are excellent bears. Hopefully your buddy can get him down long range so we can see what he really weighs. Ill say hes 375

That bear is bigger than 350 pounds. I killed a 350+ pound bear a few years ago in the spring and this bear looks quite a bit bigger. I'd say 425ish. Put him in the dirt and tell us.

That last picture was great and definately gives you the feeling he might be over 400#.  Without question in the fall he'll top that mark, plus.  But I am still not seeing 21".  I would be absolutely thrilled to be wrong.  If you guys harvest him I most certainly hope I am!
He asked, Do you ever give a short simple answer?  I replied, "Nope."

That barrel is 23" in diameter, an NBA basket ball is 9 3/8" and a soccer ball is 8 5/8".  A 19" bear skull perfectly balanced would be 12"X7".  A 21" bear skull perfectly balanced would be 13"X8" or just over 10% larger.  In elk that would be similar in difference between a 365 and a 400 bull.  He may be close in length, but I do not see him having the width.

Each B&C awards book seems to have a couple WY bear in it.  So the state definately produces some in excess of 21".

I've been hoping to get word from LR7mm that I owe him and his buddy some booze.  Definately a bet I would like to lose.  Anybody hear if they got that bear?

Pretty sure that bear is still alive, but there is another bear that went to heaven, that is in excess of 20" by another member of the group.
