Very nice bear.... photos can make critters look bigger or smaller, but in these photos he looks great, he looks as fat as a fall bear, I guess 350ish to 400ish and within a couple inches of 7 feet.

How wide is his front pad?  5 1/2" to 6"  :dunno:

If that barrel was filled with lard it would weigh just shy of 400#.  Dang fine bear.  I would guess 370-380# live weight.  Though he does seem to get bigger every time I go back and look.

I'd definately pull the trigger on him without a second glance.  Besides his size the coat looks flawless.  Might not measure out too big on skull, but that wouldn't stop me from tagging that beaut.

I looked again and I'm going to go out on a limb and say 400+. I know there are very few 400 pounder's out there and they get misjudged often, but he is just massive all over.

I assume this is a fall bear.

If he is a spring bear "Wholly Crap!"  He'd be a 430+ dough ball come October.

I need to know if this is a Fall bear?  Looks like brown leaves on ground and that bear is freakin large!! I would say 7 1/2 feet and 400+ and it's a fall bear. If not,  I would love to see him in the fall.......

RadSav this picture was from last week.
my buddy Has this bear on his bait but He had to wait until the 15th for the season to open know we are at work until next week. The last bear he took off this bait was 6'9" this bear dwarfs him  im guessing 7'2" and mid 400
as far as scoring well I think you are forgetting your looking at a 7' bear he is a solid 20" bear probably 21"  :twocents:
Bearpaw my buddy tells me the track from this bear is about an 1.5" wider than his hand so pushing 6"
and he is not in canada or Id  :chuckle:

If he's more than 20 1/4" I'll buy each of you a bottle of Crown.  Should shoot him with a bow.  Last I checked Wyoming (assuming that's where) did not have an archery kill exceeding high 19's.

As a spring bear that's a true brute.  Almost makes you want to take a chance and wait till fall.  ALMOST!!!

This bear was also taken in WY last year by a guide who just graduated from Royal Tine Guide School.  They saw this bear from a few miles away and it took 2 hours to ride close enough for a shot.  7 foot 7 inches and they estimated it weighed 600 pounds.

Both are excellent bears. Hopefully your buddy can get him down long range so we can see what he really weighs. Ill say hes 375

That bear is bigger than 350 pounds. I killed a 350+ pound bear a few years ago in the spring and this bear looks quite a bit bigger. I'd say 425ish. Put him in the dirt and tell us.

That last picture was great and definately gives you the feeling he might be over 400#.  Without question in the fall he'll top that mark, plus.  But I am still not seeing 21".  I would be absolutely thrilled to be wrong.  If you guys harvest him I most certainly hope I am!

That barrel is 23" in diameter, an NBA basket ball is 9 3/8" and a soccer ball is 8 5/8".  A 19" bear skull perfectly balanced would be 12"X7".  A 21" bear skull perfectly balanced would be 13"X8" or just over 10% larger.  In elk that would be similar in difference between a 365 and a 400 bull.  He may be close in length, but I do not see him having the width.

Each B&C awards book seems to have a couple WY bear in it.  So the state definately produces some in excess of 21".
