the fact that Washington waits til June is just mind numbing to me . I know a few guys that have to put in for Vacation by june 1st. It's the technology age for peets sake ! Oh well my venting is done and I'll start peeking around the 10th in hopes.
:yeah: I have to have mine in by May 15th, so I just put in for all the weeks I want to cover my seasons dates to lock them in.  Then after the results come out and I'm not selected I switch a week to summer so I can vacation with the family, but then I have to choose a week nobody else has during the summer.  It's a little game I have to play.
When you see the third, thin the herd.
Right now I'm somewhere picking up sheds.

We pick our vacation in November of the previous year, so have to do some juggling if I draw a good tag

You guys just need to get different employers it sounds like. Don't you remember when the results came on a postcard delivered to your mailbox sometime in August?

I'm more interested in Utah and Montana than I am here.  Here I essentially grabbed 5 hundred dollar bills and burned them.

Isnt it the worst feeling in the world! I dont mind spending the money in Idaho or Montana but here in makes me sick to my guts :twocents:

Wow. Seriously? It makes you guys feel sick to apply for special hunts in this state?

I'm sure you know the solution to that problem, right? Don't apply!    :dunno:

At my job they do the vacation schedule in December and i have to put down all my vacation for the entire next year.  But once it is final i can go back and change weeks if it is available or swap with guys that are willing.  Still sucks putting down weeks of vacation for a tag that i will probably wont draw, just to change it to a time when i can hunt.

Okay, I know I don't post that often... But I see this EVERY year. What the hell is Back door Results? I know it has to do with the draws but huh?

There isn't a real back door to get the results, all it is- you go to the wdfw web page and just act like your putting in for your permits. Enter your info and your hunt choices will show up, either say drawn not run yet or not selected or selected. It doesn't tell you what you drew if you did draw, just what the results are before they are official.
“In common with”..... not so much!!

I will always put in for the draw.  The fact that a lot of guys will stop doing, it just increases my odds.
