By the looks of your shoulders and neck, you can take a bit of a scope bite and keep coming back for more.  Congrats!

Congrats. I got kissed when I was real young with a 223. Put my arm over the stock because the gun was to long. Slid right back and knocked me between the eyes :chuckle:

I got scoped right before I was the best man in my buddy's wedding. And I got scoped again this year during deer. Another on a coyote... it happens. I could use something longer with better eye relief, and it's a kicking sob in 300WSM under 7lbs. But it's a killing machine.

Cool buck man.  Congratulations.
Shooting steep uphill or steep downhill will give you a little kiss sometimes.  I have a buddy that was hunting Idaho 2 years ago and a 140 class whitetail ran across the logging road in front of him.  He peeked over the edge and there it was, standing 150 yards away on the steep hill straight below him.
He said to himself "Man, this is gonna hurt"...  Of course, he shot, got kissed, and killed his biggest buck to date.
