These are unfair questions!!! :) :)

I am so biased there really is only one good answer...

Take the scope off and put a peep sight back on + Western Kit ignition system...

And you have the best... It will shoot most any combination you put down the barrel...

But remember I am BIASED - totally

Keep shooting muzzleloaders - They are a blast!!

I just ordered the 50 cal Knight Disc Extreme today. Not sure how much you want to spend but I found them at Gander Mtn for $460 w/ free shipping. Coupon code= 5OFFGANDER is good for $40 off price of $499.

I ended up buying from the factory direct cuz I wanted to be sure I got the "Western Edition Ignition". I also bought the 209 Ignition cuz I hunt in New Mexico.

I've had great luck w/ my Knight MK-85 but figured it was time to upgrade.

everyone always talks crap about traditions vorteks but I love them, My wife, father, and I all have one and have never once had a mis fire.  keep them clean and change the musket breech out for a number 11 and you'll never have a problem.

Accurate out to 200 yards, dropped my bull at 150 yards last year no problem.

I really like my cva elkhorn and tc black diamond xr. They have both been great guns but I hunt more with the cva now days because I really like the bolt action on it.

I have had a vortek and took it back. I was shooting it for the first time and had the gun go off sitting in the sled without me touching it. Just sitting on the bench. Lucky for me it was in a led sled and that saved me. It would have hurt me if it was not in the sled. There has been plenty of people out there that have had this happen and tons of people that have had tons of problem with miss fires. More then a few people on this site even. It seems like about half of them work great, the other half cause problems and can be dangerous like the one I had.

No, I sold the Black Diamond I had and kepy my sidelock, a Lyman.

Will be hunting elk with it this year, and possibly deer if I decide to buy the multi-season tag.

Which one?

But probably not... I have a White Lightening coming and if it does what I hope it will do - I may be moving a MK but not a DISC.
Keep shooting muzzleloaders - They are a blast!!

I have owned cva, traditions, winchester.   They are all made by the same company and they are not made in the usa.  They are built cheap and feel cheap when you are holding one. To each there own.  If you go with the knight you will not have to end up buying two or three until you find the one you finally like. just my  :twocents:
