this is what they have to say.

If you are new to Emmrod® Fishing Gear then we want to thank you for checking us out.  We design compact fishing poles and rods made of stainless spring steel that break down to just 13" for easy packing.  Emmrod is quite simply the best fishing rod you will find on the market today and the only survival rated fishing gear on the planet.

Our fishing poles cast as far as 7' graphite fishing rods and have superior action and sensitivity yet are indestructible.  This is why Emmrod® Fishing Gear is the best fishing pole of choice for survival situations, backpacking, kayak fishing, float tube fishing and is simply the best travel fishing pole on the planet.  If there is one item you must have in your bug out bag (B.O.B.)-this is it.  Our survival rated fishing gear eliminates the need for telescopic fishing poles and multi-section travel fishing poles.

Aint no way a stainless "pole" has the sensitivity as a graphite "rod".

A great survival tool as you can take the worthless thing and use it as stainless wire for better survival needs. Lol

I have seen these or something similar used for ice fishing. Interesting design anyway.

Don't use it in an electrical storm!!!  The old Magnagraph rods were notorious for attracting lightning.  These appear to be even worse.

Puts a whole new light on "Spin" rods.  Those guys should work on the Obama re-election campaign.

If not too expensive they should make a good gag gift.
He asked, Do you ever give a short simple answer?  I replied, "Nope."

:yeah: and i can almost garantee you it does not cast as far as a 7 foot rod! there is just no comparing that thing to a 7 foot rod!  :twocents: it is like 3 1/2 feet... unless your arm is 5 ft good luck with that! kinda cool design though

My brother bought one for my dad a few years ago for Fathers Day. He never did use it but the video that comes with it is kinda cool.

Short for Ice fishing ... I could see.. compact for the back packer?  I can't believe that the stainless is lighter than a breakdown glass or graphite rod.
