I sure hope everyone knows I'm kidding with a lot of these posts. Having been on here for so many years I know all the "hot buttons". I did draw the Margaret Muzzy cow tag and guarantee I will bust my arse trying to fill it. I've been putting in for bull tags only for the last 20 years (unsuccessfully) so I decided to put in for a cow tag so I could actually go hunt elk in this state. The state actually did me a favor when they divided up the tags (quality, bull, antlerless) since I had max points.
Since everyone is asking for help finding their units, can someone help me locate Pumice Plains?
Margaret will be a general season open to anybody with a otc tag within a year or two. I heard.
Weyco. has sold out and lots of the Left side of the HWY is posted "no trespassing". Pretty much everything from east of Elk Rock to the end at Coldwater is now no trespassing! You can't get to the upper (east part of the unit) and you can't get into the USFS portion from the Highway either. Basically the margaret sure ain't what it used to be. You'll be pounding the brush in the lower elevation, or (I heard) paying for access to the private land near the Monument. That leaves only one real place to hunt--the backcountry. I'll be right next door hiking my (we'll you know) off in the Whittier Unit.
