Unreliable people suck really bad.

Had a kid at the golf course keep asking every week to take him Sturgeon Fishing, so line it up for today to meet him off the Cabelas exit in Lacey.  Had another guy through a friend from AK that wanted to go for several weeks so arrange it to pick up him at intersection of 18 and I-5 at 0430...  Arrive there at 0430, nobody there, get a call at 0500 from the kid in Lacey, "Oh I partied to hard last night and won't be able to make it".  Waited till 0530 for the other guy, no call and tried to call with no answer.  Unreliable people suck really bad.  I know of two that won't ever get an invite again....  The second called at 1200 today, left a message that he had a late night and couldn't get up...  What the heck is the world coming too???  Got back home about 0615 and said heck with it and went back to bed...  No Sturgeon today...

I am really reliable!    Plus, I live within two miles of Cabelas. Plus, I have all sorts of neat eats for fishing trips... Plus, my wife like it when I leave the house for the whole day....Plus I actually have a job, and cash to help with gas.... Plus I have all my own fishing gear.... Plus I have a camera and make sure to get pictures of everyone everytime I get out.... Plus I got that heavy partying out of my system when in college (most of it not all )... Plus I know engines, electrical systems, CPR and a little spanish and a little German..... Plus......

Ray- Your right, your always invited, just can't find a better DJ anywhere, even the "Shed Guy" has a hard time finding a better anchor man.... thought about calling you at 0500 and see if you would be ready by the time I got there in Microsoft country, but figured you might have family plans for the day.......  Iceman- Well with those qualifications, although tyring to figure out when the German language would come into play.....  How can I refuse, besides the humor would be good all day.  Will give a holler on next trip probably around the 22-23rd, can't make it next weekend - kids hockey tryouts....

That sucks. Thats why I do the majority of my fishing with my dad. I have a few friends that bitch and moan about getting up early, but they generally make it a few minutes early. Id really be pissed if I were you.

That is inexcuseable.  I had late nights all the time during college, you just don't go to bed.  I remember driving to my meeting spot and being woken up by my partner banging on the window.  It makes me worried about the youth of today.

Yep, drive to the meeting spot, crash, wake up long enough to get into the ride and then crash until you get there.

I also have gotten really lucky with my hunting buddies.  Always there when they say they will be.  Never do they bitch out.  I do have  a hard time getting my friend to the duck hunting hole by 4am though.  But he doesn't have any deeks so he shows up at around an hour before light...not a real Duck Hunter in my books.

Nothing for me to get pissed about, more annoyed and learning process took place.  The one reason it kind of po'd me was the fact I turned down going with my neighbor to the Doobie Brothers concert.  I am not a huge music fan as HuntWa can testify, but it was something I have never done before.... Neighbor is the sound mixer for pre-show group and I think the DB's also, and had everything, meet and greet band, back stage passes including catered meal, but NO my dumb ass wanted to take a couple folks fishing for the day and we would have gotten back too late for me to do both...  He asked after I had the fishing trip set up in the first place and I didn't want to back out from these original two...  That's what I get.......

I live about 60 miles from Cabela's, don't know spanish or german, nor much about engines, but the rest is accurate for me as well.  And I am reliable.

That sucks this happened to you.   I was at 4:00am to go scouting over by Teanaway. Split gas with my friend and made us lunch. Your example is exactly why other guys do not want to include people who ask to go hunting and fishing.

I've had that same thing happen to me on more than one occasion. You are waiting for a friend to come over and hunt or fish and then it a no show no call till the next day. That's why I hunt and fish alone..hard to get let down. I've given up on a playmate now I just play with myself.

That is no excesse. I drank to much last night thats bull $h!t. If you know that you have to get up early to go fishing you don't go out it's that simple.
