This is the biggest blacktail forked horn I've ever seen, and my 9 year old son was the lucky shooter.
This is PathfinderJR with an elk a buddy of mine killed last year. Opening day archery, he cow called and this spike came running by, stopped broadside and he shot it. Went back to camp for breakfast, came back a couple of hours later to track and find his "spike".When he walked up to it he couldn't believe the size. It was a huge, ancient bull (almost no teeth left, hooves like a moose) that had regressed back to being a spike. Biggest bull any of us had ever seen.
