Haven't started yet. I woke up and saw it peaked so I packed up and left. I done expect it to be all that great usually the river will need to stabilize a bit before it goes off. There aren't many people out here tho.

HAHAHAHA YEAH!!  ITS SUCKS!!
 Thats what I wanted to hear!!  :chuckle: :chuckle:

Oh sorry, got a little out of control there!  :sry:   :chuckle:

Steelhead? only time iv'e caught them in the snoho was plunking the crab and douglas bars back in the day when the old man had a key. i heard there are a lot in there doesn't seem like it's fished for them that much though.

You just bank fishing?

Sorry, I was on the "snoho system." I figured since the water came up we would be talking more about the sky now. I was up river on the sky and they ate everything I threw at them. The snohomish was GONE yesterday.

Minor technicality  :chuckle:

I still refer to them by their respective name. Sky is a great river. I just hate dealing with some of the a-holes who call it home. I saw the snoho was blown out so i didn't even bother today. Some of the locations on the usgs site have no data. Squiggly lines. Showing pretty high still but dropping in the snohomish. But i will give it a shot tomorrow.

The Sky went from around 13,000 CFSS to around 4,000.  If you can't catch a fish now you aren't going to this year (in the Sky).

Shoot - it always turns good when I cant go! Although I've been targeting silvers in the lower end of the snohomish, not steelhead or salmon up on the Sky. But I would head up there if I had the time for sure. Maybe it will be good this weekend... But I am heading to Elma tomorrow night to fish the Hump for kings all day friday!!  :rockin: Man I sure hope its good down there! I hope the rain either holds off tomorrow or is light so the river is good on friday, I've never fished it before so I am getting psyched!

The hump should be good to you. I drove over the snoho on my way up river for a quick trip. It still looks like chocolate milk. I would concentrate on the sky from here on out personally. Fished two hours tonight and went 1/2 on steelhead. These left over summer fish are crazy. They are hands down some of the highest jumping reel burning craziest steelhead I have ever hooked.

Jigs, eggs, prawns, corkies and yarn, coon shrimp, I think the only thing I haven't hooked them on is hardware, but I haven't tried that. :chuckle: good luck!

Thanks Button, I may head up there this weekend and see if I can a couple of them summers. I dont really have a good boat for that river so I usually just fish from the bank at the cracker bar (or Jim's Rock?) just at/below the mouth of the Sultan and do OK. I do have a little 12' fiberglass Gamefisher boat that I have taken in there but only once or twice. Dont like trying to run that with the kicker from my other boat and I'm not sure if my 30# electric trolling motor would be strong enough for the river - thats one of the main reasons I dont put the little boat in there.
