Popes Quest for a 100" bull begins tomorrow!!
« on: September 12, 2008, 03:32:39 PM »
I'm really going to try and hold out this year for at least a 100" bull.  Ah crap, who am I kidding?  I will probably just shoot the first cow I see.  Hope you all wait on pins and needles to hear if I tag a cow...   :chuckle:  Well, I'm going to try and find a bull we call "Stumpy" this year.  He's not a particularly huge bull, but he's short, fat, and has points coming out where they shouldn't be.  To be honest my heart really isn't 100% into it this year without my cousin who just got shipped to Iraq.  We'll see...

Pope I am with you.  First elk dies.

Please tell your cousin thanks, and I wish you best of luck, may the first elk you see be a big bull then you don't have to worry

Well, Cohoho and I struck out on the elk.  Now it's off to Yellowstone for a week.  I'm sure I'll "shoot" some there...

Struck out on maybe tagging, but had a great time and learned alot...   Had some close calls, wind might have gotten us a couple times...  As a reminder when Shawn says, "we just have to climb a little hill", check the slope and height first.... :chuckle:
