Get a guitar case. you're pretty well screwed with 594 passing you can't even give it to someone to safely store in a gun safe. Maybe go down to the sheriffs and ask what the h you're supposed to do.

After Dec 4th, the police will be required to do a background check on you to return your gun to you, and each time thereafter. As a matter of fact, legally, you'd probably have to do one on them before you give it to them. Sorry about you trying to get an advanced education and all. Welcome to the People's Rep. of WA.
I kept mine in my room, on campus. They can piss off if they think I'm going to lock my guns with the campus police and ask for them back nicely each time I want to "bear" them.

The possession of small arms ammunition, when properly stored in apartments without firearms present is not considered a violation of this policy. Weapons of any kind including pistols, rifles, air guns, knives, slingshots, crossbows or martial arts tools may not be stored or used in apartments. Toy guns and activities such as “Assassin” are prohibited. Authorized storage facilities for firearms are located in the Public Safety Building.
