what is the best factory bolt action 6.5 creedmore

What 6.5 bolt action rifle would be the best to get, I have been looking at the savage long range. I want it for long range target shooting and for antelope and deer. I'm thinking I would get a vortex viper scope to go with it.

RPR is very good for long range target shooting, but handle one first if you want to do a lot of hiking while deer/antelope hunting - it may be a bit heavy as a hunting rifle. However, as I get older I'm just getting wimpy and like to hunt with a light hunting rifle.

Yes indeed that rifle with a vortex will probably come in around 11.5-12 lbs.

Another great choice. I have 2 predators and they both shoot amazing at the price point they are top notch and very light.  If you like you can get a timney to improve the trigger for around 100-125.

That is correct. Both of mine come in with optics and mounts are around 7.5-8lbs.

The predators heck yes way under. One of mine is rocking a bushnell elite and the other a vortex.



Other great choice coming out is the new TIKKA T3X CTR 6.5 CREEDMOOR looks like it will come in at 7.4 bare rifle.

The last couple predators have left my shop at 415.00 plus tax. the 6.5 and 243 are the harder ones to find in stock. None of my 8 wholesalers have them in stock and I am waiting for several of the rugers pr's as well.

NW-GSP, the Savage 12 Long Range Precision is an exceptional rifle. It is heavy but not too heavy for pronghorn or deer depending upon your hunting style. A friend has one and it is one of the most accurate rifles I've been behind. It's 11 pounds sans optics so beware. Lay that baby over a pack in the field and it's one sweet long range critter getter.
