All the more reason for hunters and anglers to pay very close attention to the nominees for the open seat, and do everything we can to be certain that the person appointed has licenses to their name.

The previous commissioner, Jay Kehne of Omak, is a die-hard deer and elk hunter with some darn incredible High Hunt stories that I've had the pleasure of hearing. Given the other recent appointments (birder/hiker, policy expert, commercial fishing rep—all respectable additions, but not your average sportsmen or women), the current make-up of the commission, and Kehne's legacy of leadership on hunter issues like lighted nocks, banning transport of elk hooves with obvious hoof-rot, and roadkill salvage, it would be unacceptable to not have a hunter/angler fill that seat.

Kehne is also very pro wolf and has ties to Conservation Northwest.

The cat is out of the bag now, that won't do any good. All they have to do is purchase a license each year, problem solved as far as WDFW and the Governor are concerned. :twocents:

Weird....

" In today's instant gratification society, more and more pressure revolves around success and the measurement of one's prowess as a hunter by inches on a score chart or field photos produced on social media. Don't fall into the trap. Hunting is-and always will be- about the hunt, the adventure, the views, and time spent with close friends and family. " Ryan Hatfield

Interesting for sure.
Pain is temporary, achieving the goal is worth it.

I didn't say it would be easy, I said it would be worth it.

Yeah really... can't expect non- hunters or fishermen to always vote for us.... :bash:
And one can't get on unless appointed by the Gov eh? lol truly stupid is as stupid does.  :yike: :bdid:
"When my bow falls, so shall the world. When me heart ceases to pump blood to my body, it will all come crashing down. As a hunter, we are bound by duty, nay, bound by our very soul to this world. When a hunter dies we feel it, we sense it, and the world trembles with sorrow. When I die, so shall the world, from the shock of loosing such a great part of ones soul." Ezekiel, Okeanos Hunter
