So many small bears this year.  I think we have passed on 4 or 5 now.  I just want a 200 pounder to step out.

I agree. Seen a lot of small bears, shot one a couple days ago with my first tag. Only seen a couple big ones, no chance, and a lot of sows and cubs

My absolute favorite meat ever. Mt. View meats smoked bear hams. Eat it cold or cooked. Absolutely amazing. I've had many people try to tell me they have eaten bear and try to tell me it was bad. Then they try my stuff. They are always begging for more. But sorry I can't give all of it away. Its my favorite.  :chuckle:
I do like burger, roasts, smoked pepperoni, summer sausage, marinated steaks, and kielbasa. Proper game care on bears and your in for a good meal.

X2 on smoked bear ham although we have been doing all German sausages last few years the smoked ham is one of the best. Do you use mt view meats in north Idaho or is there a different Mt view in Washington?
I use the one on Idaho, there awesome!

👍 they used to do all our 4 h pigs and a few beef. Only used them for one of our bear but yes they’re a great shop

I’ve passed on a few small ones already. Seen a few toads but they seem to be on the move all the time. Could have tagged out on a wolf if we had tags for em suckers.

I know a 12 year old girl who got a pretty nice one Saturday morning.  Got the call to go help pack.  Probably be on here at some point.
A bad day out hunting is better than a good day at work!

Nice

Wife got it done on the second morning.

Beautiful blond, love the dark elbows down. Missed a boar just like this last year. Chased another for 3 days back in 2013.
Don't forget your spectacles, testicles, wallet and watch.

that's how I had mine done.  My taxidermist couldn't find a form big enough for my bear to he got one with a different position on the leg and ended up cutting the form up to move it around.  Turned out great!
