52 cal Knight Disc extreme load data help
« on: June 04, 2020, 08:54:29 PM »
I have a 52 cal knight disc extreme that I hunt elk with, love the gun and shooting the smoke pull,  but I have it sighted in with these big all lead 530 gn.(110gn of 777) Bullets that where the only ones offered at the time of purchase (2000) I believe. I know I can use jacket sabots now in WA but don’t want to waste $300 to determine a good load. If any one has any ideas the help would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks

Post your question in the muzzleloading section.
"Sabotloader" should be able to give you some ideas, he is on that forum frequently.

It is lights out on elk!!!

My buddies and I have 8 of them and all shoot 5 grains of Triple 7 fff as an ignitor with 140 grains of Blackhorn 209, pushing375 grain RedHots.

They do kick something fierce, but the energy is off the charts!  We had muzzle breaks put on ours and it makes a world of difference.

Good luck!

Do you just pour in the Triple 7 first then blackhorn on top?
