Is that when the resident tags come available for everyone?

it's when the NON resident tag quota becomes available to everyone for purchase as a second tag

As a second tag..so if you're buddy messed up and you feel sorry for his starving family you buy another elk tag and kill two elk and donate some meat to his needy family.

I think they are a bit optimistic about their deer tags selling out by aug 1. Between any deer and WT there are over 6,600 left. They will get another big shot of sales after draw results for WY and ID come out but there will still be a few thou left for second tags on Aug 1............I hope  😬

Keyword hope lol. I'm not so sure there might be barely any left depending on way tag sales in July go.

Glad I bought my tag on the 11th.  I was worried there was going to be a rush after the IDFG released their news article saying NR elk tags were selling out quicker than usual.  Created a TP like rush on elk tags. I fully admit to panic buying in this case.

I'm turning in a Sawtooth A tag soon for 50% back. Going to focus on WA colokum tag.

Is there anyway I could help any forum members out to get it or does it just back in the pool then they process it? I know I could transfer it, but still would have to turn a tag in, just curious my options there.

Wow, crazy fast. I think the limited opportunities in WA created this. Its only going to get earlier and earlier every year.

Will be interesting to see if this holds true next year with the cost increase.

I know you want nothing to do with a Whitetail so I wouldn’t  push it past the second week of August.

Haha, i have plenty of vacation time, that's not the problem.

Figure that's a 7 day minimum hunt to make it worth while and planning the 12 days for colokum. Too much time away for me from my toddlers!
