First shed I have ever found while intentionally looking for them. Gnarly ol blacktail forky. The pup's first real shed hunt as well, so of course I let her think she found it.
Took her a while as its the first shed she has been around that hasnt been handled by me first. Also the first time she has been out in any kind of woods or anything that doesnt have clear trails. Out in openings and on trails she will wander and search, but in the thick stuff it was hard to get her out from under my feet. Just need to get her out more and more comfortable with it I guess.
Bummed I forgot to take an "as it lays" picture first. Was next to a real obvious bed that has clearly been used for many years and was covered by dirt and such. Just the mouse chewed parts sticking up.

After a couple of years not finding much in the methow valley , nice finding 3 for me and one for my brother in law last weekend. Tried glassing for sheds for the first time and found two of the three . Definitely cover more ground with bino’s .

A bunch of small boiz from last weekend, plus a gigantic super old chalky one. Super heavy and super tall. Would've been a sweet fresh find.
