Wow.
That's impressive.
Nothing but front hubs....
That suspension rides high for being stock.

JD powers must be wrong?

Just a bunch of fan bois with no automotive knowledge.

:chuckle:
I know that hurt but it's going to get worse...

JD Powers is nothing but Fanboyz touching themselves while talking about how great their truck is was....

Finishing just ahead of the GM Fisher Price twins?

Really impressive!

not stock height , lifted when brand new with just 26 miles on it the fact is this rig gets abused but maintained impeccable services and they last . I traded my 2002 Tacoma in for this and it had 308,000 miles on it and zero issues

I have an 08 2nd gen  that I drive like a rzr in the woods more often than on the pavement it’s the family adventure rig I have   Replaced cv, brakes, tires , springs , and u joints all to my being hard on it. We are over 200k wouldn’t be afraid to drive it to florida tomorrow or anywhere for that matter . I have leveling kit and some  different leafs, and fox shocks , but stock other wise .it’s not like my old  Toyota as far as size goes but it gets me into places  a lot of trucks won’t go  .I have always had other vehicles so never worried about breaking it .

I'm guessing none of you have a 6sp manual, or if you do, you've never towed with it.
Toyota engineers were smoking crack the day they selected ratios and whoever dreamed up the tow rating was equally stoned.
Just laughable.

Must suck having something so unreliable.  Maybe posting a manifesto would make you feel better about your poor decisions.

This thread is laughable.  If you dont like toyota, dont get one.  We have had four. For me the resale alone has made overall ownership cost very low. Bought a first gen Taco extended for 8,000. Had around 100,000 when purchased, did timing belt service at time I got it. Aside from add ons, i did a radiator and a slave cylinder for clutch. At 220,000 sold it for 7,500, it did have a lift, canopy and fresh tires when i sold it. Rather than stock. It was still running awesome, sold only to get into four door for growing family. Got a 2010  second gen new, 4 door, with 6 speed. While their was a couple things i wish were different about the set up, reliability was awesome. They did recall the springs,  my local dealer actually  gave me credit, because i had upgraded to OME prior to recall. Wheel bearings, and one hub. Otherwise 170000 trouble free. Paid 30 sold for 21
and guy flew up from AZ to purchase.

Currently have 2 4 runners, one a 99, (mine,) closing in on 200, 3.4 5 spd, and the other the wifes, 2012. Both have been great so far.

I thought it was dripping with it.  I thought your rig was pretty nice, although I'd prefer another color.
