Have dog, will travel.
« on: September 11, 2023, 06:09:11 PM »
I haven't done this for a few years, and I almost missed it.  The youth pheasant hunt is this coming weekend, and I don't have a youth lined up.  Anyone need a dog and handler team?

My son was lucky enough to experience a hunt with Old Dog what feels like forever ago.  He is a great guy, is very patient and kind and freely gives of his time every year to help a youth experience a hunt with a dog.  If you have an interested youth, make sure you reach out to him, you will have a great time.

old thread I Know, but thought I would check if this is still a thing you are doing.  My son (almost not a youth 15) 1st year pheasant hunting and we also have  8mo old GSP we are working with. Were gonna head out Sunday to Stillwater by Carnation.  Plan was to go with our dog but if you are still doing this I would love to watch you work your dog and help the boy get a chance at a bird or two.

I wasn't planning on it, but I'd love to!  I haven't been working Ollie, so we will be out of shape.   :dunno:

PM sent.

Old Dog, I still remember the favor you did for my son at Scatter Creek. Those are happy memories.

Great idea, willing to extend the offer to the east side folks. Definitely not a professional like old dog! But iv got a 1 year old female lab who had a great season last year and spent the winter at quicksilver kennels.
