Idaho trout fishing
« on: September 14, 2024, 08:08:10 PM »
Had nothing going on today and thought we’d give one of our local ponds at around 3k feet elevation a try. It’s been getting cool at night and figured it would help the trout bite. I took a couple of my littles out and went fishing for about two hours. We kept a dozen and let go at least as many. Anyone hunting Idaho this Fall I’d recommend bringing a rod, these will make a great breakfast tomorrow.

That’s good stuff. Way to go, Teach.

Quick limits today in North Idaho! Ice is coming off the lakes and ponds super fast, was 61 in the sunshine when we left the lake. Three limits in less than an hour today!

Nice wok and fun times!

I’m back to regularly scheduled programming fishing my go-to river south of you and the bite was fantastic this last week with the snow leaving in a hurry.

Is that a trout magnet you're using? Heard they're effective on rainbows

Didn’t take pics of the trout we caught camping but my daughter had fun with some Idaho spiny rays.
