does anyone know of a potlatch "person in charge" or someone in potlatch that has authority to make a decision or give reliable information. for two years now, we have had interaction with a game warden in Idaho. his story always is different on what road we can or cannot drive on, and it seems to be whichever mood he is in that day. He has written loggers, hunters, mine claims, etc. all tickets for going past a gate, over 50", on a maintained rd but apparently its not a drivable rd, etc. However, when we talk to forest service, and fish and game, nobody has any clue and the maps they use are so out of date, they do not show accurate information, including the map on potlach website. Just find it frustrating that we are trying to do the right thing and fell like we have a target on our back for this particular warden. The wardens response is hat "you need onyx, and all these overlays", but i dont see how Onyx is the end all be all for the legal information.

Sounds like your huntin his spot just stay out.. 😂yes i agree, that's exactly what it seems like. he has only been there for 2 years now, and caused lots of issues. when the lady at the forest service and post office to get maps roll their eyes and make comments about him, it clearly is not just us having an issue, and when he is interfering with people performing their job, its an issue. Talking to the head of a logging operation and he was furious about the warden locking the gates. the logger only had so many keys to the gate, and staggered his employees, some started at 3am, some at 5, some at 6, not all of them had keys. But ole mr green jeans had such a desire to be up there patrolling and keep locking gates and locking out the loggers, also on a side note. He stated that they were being paid by potlatch $1/acre to patrol potlatch as well. So isn't there some sort of double dipping or illegal behavior occurring if I can prove that's true. He is being paid tax dollars from all of us to be a game warden and then they are being paid by potlatch as well. Either work for potlatch, or work as a game warden?
the layer in ONX is called large tract program, that will show you which roads are open or not open and to which sort of vehicle.
Curious what county were you in? I’d call the local PotlatchDeltic office and ask for a list or map of roads that are open. They’ve revised the recreation and travel management plan. Lots of the gated roads are indeed closed to all motorized vehicles and there isn’t enough enforcement to cover everything.
