Sight pins
« on: July 03, 2010, 01:28:03 PM »
So I have my pins set at 20yd 30yd and 40yds, what do all of you have your pins set too? I can successfully make shots way out(made a 100 with a friends bow who has a 100 pin for practice), and I was thinking about maybe throwing on a 50 and 60 but im not sure.
Make every shot count cause ya might not get another.

I have a 5 pin sight set at 30, 40, 50, 60, 70. I started at 30 because with my bow  sighted in at 20 it was only 2 inches low at 30 so I went up to 30 first pin.

30, 45, 60.  If I'm shooting a 5 pin I add a 15 and 70.

Same as sirfunk but mine are the horizontal pins. I have never shot the verticals but it kind of looks like the vertical posts would cover some of the target. Just seems a little different to me, I'm sure it is like anything and just takes a little getting used to.  Mike

I got a trophy ridge too and it has verticals and I dunno, I kinda like the thought of horizontals more cause that way you can shoot when it gets kinda darker too(coyotes, coons, etc.)
Make every shot count cause ya might not get another.

Another trophy ridge guy here. I have 2O 3O 4O 5O 6O 7O 8O 9O. The only beef I have with them is they don't make the .O1O pins.
Team nubby!
