Back from Wyoming with coolers full!
« on: October 20, 2010, 10:31:09 PM »
Got back last night from our "red eye" Wyoming Speed Goat hunt, near Casper.  Got my best as of yet this year, Tmike and LTL got their first, we had a blast, pardon the pun... 1,100 miles each way, drove straight through each way.  Hunted for three days and ended up with between three of us with 3 Antelope bucks, 2 Mule Deer bucks and some thing like 6 or so does...  Been grinding hamburger for the past three hours..  Couldn't find a Whitetail doe on any public property so I ate that tag, but saw loads of them on private farms....  Oh well probably better as my fridge is full..  Great hunt for having fun without working too hard...  Be the perfect hunt for taking kids to enjoy seeing lots of animals and almost guaranteeing them success...  LTL didn't hunt the same property as us as he didn't have the HMA area we did, but myself and Tmike had some great shots and of course a couple blunders, how the heck did I miss shots too.  Didn't find a stud muley, so I took a little 3 x 2 on the last night for a eater...

Nice goats and the muley will eat just fine. I like the character in the first lopes horns; looks like it got caught in something and turned out. That is a great hunt for seeing lots of animals for sure.

Looks like a dandy time, congrats.  Nice to see LTL back on this board, even if just a photo.  Take it this means some Afghaniraqi sheep diddler hasn't claimed his scalp.

Did you try doorknocking for that WTD doe?  Usually pretty easy access to come by  ... :dunno:

Awesome job guys.  Sounds like a blast.  Now get back to work so you can rest up from your vacation.

Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes.  That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.
