Backwoods Girl needs a bow.....(GOT ONE!)
« on: May 01, 2011, 02:26:44 PM »
Just doing some looking around for a used Youth/womens bow.  We both got multi season deer tags and she is ready to try the stick and string.
Something that is ready to hunt. 30-50 lbs adjustable and maybe 26-28 draw length.
Not looking to spend a ton of cash.
Message me.
Thanks Guys!

Put in some calls to local bow shops, they might have a few laying around. Also Mission has some bows that might be the same price as some used ones. Good luck.

i'd look for a Diamond Razor Edge
http://www.diamondarchery.com/#/productBreakdown?r=products_products&i=26

or

one of the Gold series Martin bows.
http://martinarchery.com/2011/compoundbows.php#goldseries

Martin's are a little less money than the companies with more advertising budget, ie. mathews, hoyt, bowtech, but i've had good luck with the ones i've had.  i'd hunt archerytalk classifieds and ebay.  there are some good deals out there.  just make sure you get one with lots of adjustment.

a member of our archery club has a 2003 Martin Magnum Altitude for sale.  lots of adjustment.
24”/30 lbs to 29”/60 lbs. 30 1/2” ATA. Cobra 5 pin sight, Whisker Biscuit, all 7 modules, peep, quiver, 4 arrows w/field points, release, d-loop, stabilizer and wrist sling. Great beginner bow that will grow with your kids. $250.00 ready to shoot!!  Todd tfpilgrim@yahoo.com

Sounds like a good deal.  Weathergirl got a Martin Cheetah a couple years ago and likes it, a bit heavy for her though.

Good luck and have fun.

Wife has a Mission Craze, it may be a little expensive ($450) but it adjusts 25-70lbs and 19-31" draw.

Good choice. My old lady had the Diamond Razors edge. She liked it but just wasn't exactly what she wanted so e're in the market as well. Lemme know if she likes it. :)
I'd rather ask forgiveness than permission!

Just so you know, the bow in the pics is upside down.  Whisker Buiskits are good at containing the arrow, but there might be some issues....   :chuckle:   :chuckle:
