Does anyone know of places in the Winthrop/Twisp area that still process wild game?  Mostly looking for a place to hang meat for a few days if we get lucky.
Appreciate any tips. Thanks!

I've taken a couple deer to Eastern Oregon Mobile Slaughter in Hermiston, OR and have been happy with their service. Website https://easternoregonmobileslaughter.com/wild-game-processing

I've noticed a lot of places have gone out of business or have quit taking wild game. I would suggest checking ahead to make sure the processor you plan to use is still in business and is taking wild game.

:yeah:  I know of a couple that have gone out of business.  Was just talking to a meat cutter in the area and he said he has stock coming in from all over the west side because they are getting fewer and fewer....

Not many of the younger generation are interested in actual work...  As the older meat cutters retire there isn't anyone picking up where they left off.

In Ennis Montana there’s Deemo’s. I haven’t used them but my dad has. I mostly cut my own but would use them. Check the regs for transporting game in cwd areas, also affecting skulls and spines. I think leg bones were ok.
I have Man Chit to do

Understand I was looking for somewhere a little closer it looks like we’ll be boning out and capping any skulls with horns

The website MEAT! just had #22 grinders on sale for $399 this week! I picked one up. 11-14 lbs of burger a minute.
If you shoot the first one you will never get that true trophy.

Its been forever since i brought any in. Whats the approximate cost to have a butcher cut and wrap a deer or elk? No sausage or pepperoni or jerky just plain meat?

I built a grinder using a #22 hand grinder and a gear reduced 1/2 hp moter . A whole deer if boned and trimed will grind in about 5 min or as fast as you can feed it!

Just a heads up for anyone needing to have domestic animals slaughtered and butchered, most places in Western Wa. Are booked out to March/April. Some have stopped taking in wild game because of their back log. So plan accordingly.
