Got another Black LAB
« on: February 13, 2012, 06:47:10 PM »
so the other day i was at les schwab here in ellensburg waiting for my truck to get a flat repair , i decide to stroll through the nickel classifieds and i come accross a guy getiing rid of his 1 year old male black lab for FREE. i decided to call him and see what it was all about , well he lived in moses lake told me all about the dog and said he didnt have anymore time for the dog and that he was to hyper for him , i ask a few questions , asked if he was AKC registered and if any hunting lines in him . so i felt a little bad and excited at the same time and decided to go meet him and take a look at him. well it turned out he was  bred from Tiger mtns midnight ryder and executive brown sugar , awesome pedigree as well. i decided to take him , so far he is doing great around here . here is a pic of him and my other labs.

I bet he is a nice looking dog if I could see the picture

Cool. Glad you could get him and give him a good home.

I've seen soo many free dogs lately it makes me sick. People seem to be getting dogs without thinking they live to be 10+ years old.

Nice pick up man! Im a little jealous.  My black lab is also from midnight ryder i believe.  He is 1 1/2. Im  wondering if they are from the same litter? My dog is also very hyper but is super birdy.  If you get him nutered (if not already) he will calm down a bit.

i dont think there from the same litter , as he is exactly 1 yr this month. he was really hyper when i met him , but when i brought him home he calmed down alot i think all he needed was some companions and someone to show him attention

With some work and some age on him he will calm down. Tiger mnt has some great dogs. I have been around a few over the years. A few of there lines do seem to be very high energy but they are very birdy. Most should grow out of it well.

i have 4 dogs now 3 labs and a blue heeler , then not to mention the little chihuahua GIZZY my wife inherited from her grandma after she pass away last month. so that makes it 4.5 dogs lol , my female black lab GIRL is 4 yrs now ive had her since 7 weeks i wouldnt get rid of her for the world , my male yellow TANK is 3 yrs ive had him since 8 weeks i wouldnt get rid of him for the world  , my blue heeler WREN was another dog off craigslist that people were getting rid of because she was killing there chickens , but i understood those people they were very heartbroken when i picked her up and were balling there eyes out , i still to this day keep in touch with them and let them know how she is doing i gotta say the most loyal dog ive seen in a while . and now we have the newest member to the family RYDER black lab i believe he will be a great dog all he needs is someone to give him time and effort .

I have all the blood line paper work on my new Lab from the breeder, but I couldn't tell you if there are any good dogs on it or not. Honestly it didn't matter to much to me as long as he was black and pure, I was going to buy.

Could anyone help me with that blood line stuff??

I had 3 labs at my home at one time. I was sure there must be a forth one around with no hair as there was enough shed hair laying around to make a forth dog.

Nice looking dog!
Spent most of my $$ on huntin, fishin & retrievin dogs, the rest I just pretty much wasted.
