Not many deer in that unit anymore. I'm not sure why they have 2nd tags for that unit. In fact they ought to shut it down completly for a couple years. Only problem with that is the Yakamas would still hunt it. Sorry for being negative but I just don't get why the WDFW wants to take does out of a unit that is already seriously hurting.

Just checked the regs and I think your mistaken, there is no second deer tag in that area.

That's much better. Plenty of deer down there, but 99% private land.

:chuckle: That is much better. 382 is my home unit. 80% private 20% public. Of that 20% about 10% is public ground that you cannot get to and hunt. Of the 10% left about 5% of it holds deer. There is some spots to be able to hunt. The cats have been whacking a lot of deer in the area.

I guide and offer hunts for your tag  If you are interted shoot me a pm or check out my website

We checked out that area last year during late muzzy- not much open for public and like stated- half the public property is landlocked. I don't plan on returning. You'll spend more time driving than hunting.

As for your hunt I do have a small tip that might help some. sending a PM. Also, I don't know him but carp seems to be a good guy from the site and I would check out his prices.
This closet is taken- go find your own

I'll second carp being a good guy.  I have messaged with him about hunts off and on for about a year now and he's has never tried to BS me.  And i might be doing a hunt with him this year.

Its funny, a doe tag costs more than a buck tag in this state. Almost 70$ for a second deer, get real

Everyone who drew this tag should eat it and not pay the $70!
You can go to Montana and buy up to 5 $50 Mule deer doe tags over the counter as a non resident.
If you haven't figured out that this state is trying to up the prices on every tag and license to generate money for the rest of the broke systems and to push more people out of hunting, you have your head in the sand!  :hello:
This state lost my money after this year for miracle tags!  :bdid:
Out of 30 guys at work, I know 2 who drew elk tags. 10 of them drew doe tags and are not buying them!

Couldnt agree more.  I have killed quite a few deer in there, but the hunting has been horrible for about the last 4 years or so.  Its a same that the State is giving out tags in this unit because it really needs a couple of years to rebound.  As far as I am concerned, close it down and shut the gates from October 1st to May 1st for a couple years.  :twocents:

I can't wait to hunt my 2nd deer (whitetail doe) I have never hunted a whitetail.  I may be able to say this year I shot my first whitetail and my first whitetail buck!!  Saving for the taxidermy bill.  The doe will be a relaxing hunt at a buddies cabin for $70.00 ain't bad, the buck bit more planning and cost.  No guarantee but I'm optamistic (sp?)  One more deer in the freezer ain't bad either.  It's what's for dinner venison or venison!!
