DAD
« on: July 09, 2012, 04:50:32 PM »
I knew time with my Dad was at a premium, and I was hoping beyond hope to get an elk and share the pictures and the story of the hunt with him, but Dad had to leave us yesterday.  At least I talked to him yesterday at noon.  He told me about a coon he had shot the night before for eating stuff in his garden, and how he was getting excited about the Pittsburgh Pirates again, then few hours later he was gone.  Love ya DAD! :'(

Sorry to hear about your loss, I too have been down that road. You will remember the old days and enjoy telling others about how your Dad did things in the outdoors.

sorry for your loss.

Maybe he is hanging out with my lab. She died yesterday afternoon. If so he is in good company.

The two greatest losses in my life... when my Dad passed away, then 20 years later this spring when I lost my Mom...     Nothing compares to the pain..   Thoughts are with you and your family.
By my honorable conduct as a hunter let me give a good example and teach new hunters principles of honor, so that each new generation can show respect for their god, other hunters and the animals, and enjoy the dignity of the hunt.
