Got my gun back from camo dip....
« on: July 16, 2012, 08:47:49 PM »
I brought my howa 223 up to Northwest Hydroprinting in Montesano in June and just got it back today and it looks awesome.  I had to take the photo a little close so you could see the detail but hope you all like.  If you are thinking about having it done, they do as good as job as any.

Looks like an awesome job..
By my honorable conduct as a hunter let me give a good example and teach new hunters principles of honor, so that each new generation can show respect for their god, other hunters and the animals, and enjoy the dignity of the hunt.

Looks like real good work. Great that it's a local company doing it.

Which pattern is that?

I've sent quite a few folks out there to him, but have yet to get anything done myself.

Looks like real good work!

To do the stock, barrell, and scope the total $238.  I think you cant really beat it because if you bought one camoed already, it will be marked up substantially from a black one.  So to get all of it for that price and be able to pick exactly what pattern i wanted it is so worth it.
That looks sweet, just don't set it done you may not find it!!!! LOL

That is the exact reason i had it done.  I called in two coyotes and they ran off, a couple minutes later i called in two different ones and shot one.  On the way back from getting the one, i could see my gun glowing on the hillside where i was setup.  Couldnt have that anymore and the camo tape and wrap just wouldnt suffice.
As for the scope rings, it fit a little tight but easily fit without a problem.  It did make me nervous but like i said, the covering is so thin you really couldnt tell.  If you are thinking about getting a gun and may get a camoed one, look into a flat black or wood and have them do it and pick the camo you want and what works for you.  Especially if you are gonna get a shot gun, the difference in price between and camo and black just aint worth it.
