That's why you get 2 tags. No patience for the first tag, if its a bear usually its down. First tag is a meat tag second is for the trophy. That's when my patience kick in.

Headed out for my first bear season.  I am way north here in the 418 (Nooksack).  Lots of bear up here.  Have a couple spots picked out to sit on while its warm.  Probally going higher as the season goes along via the use of some trails.

Anybody shot bears up Bacon Creek in the 418 unit ? Always heard that was a pretty good area. I hunted up there 30 years ago and haven't been back since.
