western rivers predation
« on: August 21, 2008, 06:43:22 PM »
Are these any good? Im just getting into predator hunting and was looking for an electronic caller that wasnt to expensive. This one seems to fit my budget but im willing to look at some different ones.

They're ok. My brother has one and we have called in a couple bears with it. It's not as loud as I would like but it was loud enough.

Just buy the Western Rivers at Cabelas, use it for a while, if it's not up to your expectations, take it back for a refund.

I think it's well worth $150.  A Foxpro would cost $500.

I've tested my remote unit for it, and I can get @ 150 yds away before I can't control it anymore.  That's far enough away from me, I guess....I like mine...I can use a memory card, or I've also downloaded my own sounds directly into the thing...works fine either way.  haven't tried the remote decoy part of it yet, though.
