Pasayten wilderness DIY 2012 hunt. Hiked up Wednesday and dad shot his in 30 minutes. He gave me crap all night and I ended up shooting a even bigger buck then him Thursday night :). My biggest buck ever. Family has been hunting in that spot since the 1930s. Best hunting trip ever.
WOW Now that going to be hard to beat  like that photo ...congrats to you and your dad

Nice bucks Eric. Brady sent me a text with pics of those bucks, but they look even better on the computer. Congrats. Looks like steep country to be dragging those deer around whole.

thanks guys and yes very very steep country. Got rained out trying to drag them out with all our hunting gear. finally said enough is enough and went into winthrop for the night and hiked back up the next morning to bone them out. Saw a big 3 point on the hike back up only 30 yards away. Best part is i shot at a tiny 3 point on monday and missed. Good thing i did!!!!!!! congrats to everyone and there succesfull hunts this year :)

Why put down your own buck, especially when its a dandy washington buck

Agreed. You don't get cool points for telling everyone it's "a little buck" or a "dink" when it's obviously a good buck. Just present it as is. Most guys, including me, would be very happy with that buck.

I don't think he is putting the buck down and certainly not looking for cool points  :dunno: The fact of the matter is its in the 130-140 range of mule deer which is not all that big ...  :o  I have a feeling when he gets back from Idaho you'll see just how little this WA buck is!  ;)

You should post it up along with all the other 180 bucks youve killed. I'm sure the guys on the forum would love to see your trophy room with all your BIG BUCKS!!

My 8 year old daughter's 1st buck. She did a awesome job on a 3/4 mile stock in the rain to beat the clock and she had to shoot standing...heart shot at 50 yards!

I only had one day to hunt the rifle deer season after using up my "husband points" by being gone a long time during muzzleload elk.  Sneaked out to a spot I know in Chelan Co. and the .280 had a conversation with this muley.  The 140 gr. accubond worked flawlessly.
And I think God must be a cowboy at heart
He made wide open spaces from the start
He made grass and trees and mountains and a horse to be a friend
And trails to lead ol' cowboys home again

After 5 years of tag soup in Washington I finally dropped this toad. Worth the wait!
