What do you do with your old bows?

I am looking to purchase another bow here shortly, but wondering what you guys do with your old stuff. The dinosaurs I own still shoot but they aren't worth trying to sell at 15+ years old. Might hang on to one as a backup but it just seems wrong to throw them away. What do you guys do?

I buy and sell a lot. There is a few bows I have to much history with. Chances are if it is that old it is not worth much. Set it up as a bowfishing bow or keep as a spare. You can sell it in classifieds or ebay, but don't ecpect much for it.

I'm still on my first. Its very forgiving and shoots consistently. Just a bit loud.  I will probably keep it for a backup when I get a nicer bow some day.

My recurves are in the closet for when the kids get old enough to use them! And one is set up for bowfishing too!!!

You see a bunch on Craigslist - maybe put them on there to sell to a new archer just getting into the sport.  I'll be trying to get an inexpensive bow to just get started shooting a bit in the offseason - I'd like to get either a deer or elk archery tag next year to add a bit of variety.  I may become a full time archery hunter eventually, but I really enjoy hunting modern with my dad and you don't get that chance forever.

i gave mine to a friend since i dont need three back up bows had it set up to fit him and he took his first deer with the old beast last week and got an extra hunting partner for the future out of it plenty of people with little money who would love to even own an old one that is tried and true just my

I've got a 25 year old Parker(?) steel cables with swages for the string.... along with Savora aluminum arrows, broadheads, etc..
I'm thinking trashbin unless there's a archery museum...

This is one of the problems with archery, the stuff devalues quickly.
More than likely, as a result of rapidly changing technology.

Modern firearms do not experience this problem.

i buy a new bow every 3-6 years so my old bow still has value and is sell able. keeps my in the latest and great est gear plus i dont have to spend as much when i buy a new bow.

 I threw my old Browning in the dumpster along with 8 or 10 XX75's. I was scared to pull it back. It had broke before, way before it sat dormant for 15 years. Asta La Bye-Bye to it, I said:)
