Archery Elk is Over
« on: September 20, 2012, 02:25:01 PM »
I wait all year for this and it's done. I'm wicked bummed out. No meat but granted, a nice 10-day vacation. I want to go back into the woods and disappear. How about you guys? Are you ready for the season to be over already?

Nope.   Waiting for late season
Old enough to know better.
Young enough to go for it.

There are 2 problems with elk season:
1) Its too short
2) It makes deer season not as special as it used to be for me before I fell in love with elk hunting.

depressed & bummed about sums it up for me.  Late season is just not the same. Oh well, it will just burn my passion to prepare for next year all the more.
Take up your bow, a quiver full of arrows, head out to the country and hunt some wild game.  GEN 27:3

Yea I am really bummed out!!!  It was like being a kid the day before Christmas and than boom it's over.  Nothing to look forward too for another couple of months.  I am soo ready for late season.  Hopefully I can get out and help some others muzzy and riffle season before I can hunt again.

I got a cow and am bummed out, really enjoy calling bulls.   The late season weather is nicer, but much less calling...   I'll focus on next years scouting now, and helping my dad get his in the late season.
