WY antelope buck
« on: October 02, 2012, 11:24:03 PM »
I moved to Wyoming a little more than a year ago and this was my first hunt in my new state. Planned on having to take at least a couple hundred yard shot but ended up catching him bedded at about 50 yards :yike: I was as surprised to see him as he was to see me. I saw the "oh s^*t!" on his face as i raised the rifle. :chuckle: Passed up a few and am pretty happy with him.

That's a dandy!  Congratulations

I could not really see the horns on my monitor.  I hope you don't mind I tried to clean it up a little.  Looks like good mass and height.  Very nice!
He asked, Do you ever give a short simple answer?  I replied, "Nope."

I don't mind at all. I can't see them well on mine either. It needed to be done. I was all alone and it was warm so I didn't take much time on field photos before I got to work!

A fine trophy, and some great meat. Wyoming antelope is about as good as it gets in my opinion.

Congratulations and thanks for sharing.

He shot it west of Worland, you are correct. He showed me the area when I was doe/fawn antelope hunting in September. I have to admit, I'm very proud of the goat you got, I'm just sad we couldn't pull off your hunt with me in town. Congrats Nate! You deserve a trophy like this...next, my mule deer and your elk!! :bfg: :hunter:
Wishing I was fishing...or in Wyoming
