anyone try the new badlands clothing??

Never heard of Badlands clothing. Had a 2200 pack. Only issue was zippers.  Wow 269 dollars for a coat? Not leather or wool?    No thank you.

I also purchased there Velocity jacket and momentum pants. They were both $179.99 each. I like the material and the way they fit. I cant wait to try them out late season. The best thing about everything Badlands including the clothes is they are lifetime warranty!  You break or tear it they will fix it for free. I have the 2800 pack and a Hyper-vent pack and love them both. The hyper-vent is more of a day pack but it doesn't stay on your back so you sweat. It has a built in frame to keep it away.

I had no idea the clothing had the same warranty... I might have to check it out myself!
I can't believe the number of people that have had problems with their packs, I've had a 2800 for about 8 years and packed 3 bears, 4 elk, 10 or 12 deer, etc. with it. It's packed camp (40ish up to 60lbs) 10 -12 miles in more times than I can remember. It even packed an 18 pack of coors 14 miles once. Never a problem. I have a little reactor that I tied a deer to and drug it almost 2 miles then this year I packed a hindquarter and head/neck out. I've tried to break, couldn't do it. I also have a 4500 that I haven't thrashed on yet, hopefully it follows suit with the rest of mine.

its because u got one before they changed to who assembles and puts them together...they use to be good top of the line packs..they got a reputation and a name and they are living off it now..now they are mass produced junk in my eyes. There are far better packs on the market...mystery ranch, oregon pack works and BC to name a few

In all fairness, I did guide for six years using said 2200 exclusively and wore it everyday from mid August till December first or so. So I did beat the hell out of it. Zippers always worked, just the tabs. Unfortunate circumstances forced me to sell it on the fly in a far away location, and it got replaced with a free used Black's Creek pack. I do not like it at all.

I'll agree with that. My dad has both the new and old 2800's. I prefer the older.
